Enjoying Everyday Life

Hi Guys!!!

Hope you're all doing wonderfully well. It's been a while since I've posted but its all for a good reason. I'm out here hustling, trying to bring home some bacon so please bare with me.

A while back, I was watching Joyce Meyer (She's a world famous minister for those of you who don't know) and she was preaching about enjoying everyday life, the way God intended for us to enjoy it.

Inconsistency........

If someone asked me to describe myself academically I would say "I am passionate, determined and hardworking" but lately I know I have not been a reflection of any of these words. I'm carrying huge baggage called INCONSISTENCY that's holding me back from becoming the person I was created to be, and that's NOT ok with me.

I have come to realise that you may be the most passionate, driven, focused and hardworking individual on this planet, but the minute you become CONSISTENTLY inconsistent, you're toying with the possibility of walking down a path of CONSISTENT failure and defeat.

Thank you everyone!!

Hey Lovelies!! How you all doing? I know you're all blessed and highly favoured, AMEN!! (Even if you're not christian, Jesus loves us all ;) ) Also, I'm sorry for those who get annoyed by my 'overly religious Facebook posts' but I'm really not sorry because I'm proud of my God! If it offends you, that's a shame. I will totally understand if you delete me :)

Anyways, I just wanted to say a HUGE THANK YOU!!!!! πŸ˜€πŸ™ŒπŸΎπŸ˜€ to everyone that reached out to congratulate me on graduating and finishing 4 Loooong years at University. I can not thank God enough for seeing me through because I wanted to give up several times but he never forsaken me.  I
made it!!!

Commitment issues....

Hi guys!!

Hope you're all well.. I can't sleep as usual and its 01:26 *weeps*

Anyways, I've been inspired to write this post after watching Shirley B. Eniang on YouTube,  where she discussed her issues with commitment and I INSTANTLY related to almost everything she was saying .

Commitment is a word that has always been somewhat complicated to me, for obvious reasons, and not so obvious reasons. For example, In relationships it is usually displayed as some sort of privilege given to women by men if they consider you to be 'special' or rather a 'deserving' wifey material. But if you ask me, commitment is a choice we are all entitled to.

So you've graduated... Now what?!

Graduation, 15 July 2015 - RGU

First of all, Congratulations on completing this phase in your life. It wasn't easy but we MADE IT!! Lord knows how happy I am to be finally done with university, and to come out the other end but by his Grace and Mercy, this is only the beginning of greater things to come!

I'm slowly discovering that being a graduate comes with its own negativity and pressure, the first being finding a job in this economy which can be very frustrating. Trust me, I'm currently going through that same struggle and it's NOT easy, most specially when it feels as though everybody and their cousins are getting graduate jobs while nothing seems to be coming your way, but please DONT stress.

Natural Makeup.... Get Ready with Me!!!

Hi Guys.....

So I today I was meant to upload a get ready with  me Video up on my Youtube channel, but I encountered technical difficulty which resulted in me losing a huge part of the footage...

The Missing footage was of me applying foundation and my highlighting and contouring techniques, plus the natural lip colour.... will make more videos tomorrow so you guys can see how I did it because I don't want to upload a half-hearted Video because that's just messy and pointless lol so I've written down how I did everything....

Update!!!!

Hey everyone!!!

Hope you're all blessed and well.

I am ever so sorry I have been away for so long but I am OFFICIALLY done with University so I now have a lot of free time on my hands to update and post regularly.

I've had a few emails from people asking me when I'll be starting my Youtube page and although I don't have a solid answer yet, I shall do so SOON... Hopefully.

The reason for my hesitation is because there's so many bloggers and vloggers at the moment, So I want to make sure that I bring you guys content that's actually worth viewing and reading, not just regurgitating information that's already out there (Hope you get my drift)

If you have any particular content you would like to see me put out, please feel free to let me know... let's interact, chat and have FUN!

I've missed Blogging and it feels SO good to be back :)

I am enough.....

Inadequacy

Feeling inadequate is one of the worst feelings any human can do through.

It's that empty feeling that makes you feel lonely, and leaves you feeling bitter, incomplete and just not "good enough".
We've all been there...well maybe just most of us, but certainly we have all experienced feeling like this at some point.

You are not alone.
One thing I have learned and continue to learn everyday is to NEVER compare my path with anyone else's.

Leaving it all behind in 2014

Good evening guys, hope you're all well and blessed as usual.

2014 is almost behind us so I guess it's a perfect time to reflect on the kind of year you've had.
What are you leaving behind in 2014?
I know for sure that I'm leaving behind PLENTY of baggage, bad habits and negativity.
2014 has taught me so much about myself and life and I can't be ungrateful.
I've learned the true meaning of forgiveness
• I've learned a lot about self worth and Value (I matter and deserve better, always)
•Forgiveness - forgiving others is for  yourself. There's nothing as sad as harbouring bitterness for someone that's living happily without you - Let go!
•Happiness
•contentment
•Goals and dreams

So in 2014, im taking all these lessons and values with me and leaving behind negativity and those who bring it!

Happy new year in advance!

With love,
Bree xoxo

Merry Christmas.. And a Happy new year

Seasons greetings everyone!
Just wanted to wish everyone a very merry Christmas and a wonderful new year.

It's a bitter sweet one for me this year because I'm not with my family but sweet because I'm alive, healthy and happy knowing that I have loved ones that have my best interests at heart.. Not a lot of people can say that these days so for that, I am eternally grateful to the almighty.

May love and happiness find you all and keep you.

Remember, leave all negativity in 2014. Life is too short to live it with hate and resentment towards those who don't even know they occupy those kinds of emotions in your heart so LET IT GO!
"old things have passed away" *In nigerian accent* LOL

HAPPY holidays everyone!!

Im Bacccccck........

Hi everyone!!

I know I've been MIA for the LONGEST time but there's a very good reason.. UNIVERSITY LIFE!

I'm a fourth year student so you know how it is...Dissertation and no time for anything.. plus trying to juggle that with part time work is not easy.

I have exams in January (Wish me luck) and I submit my dissertation April 24th 2015! Lord knows I can not WAIT!

So that means I'm only back full time for a little while until I can dedicated myself 100% to blogging.

In the meantime, Hope you've all been well and blessed.

Merry Christmas and a VERY happy New year to you all...

With Love,
Bree

"This long distance is killing me" *singing like Brandy lol

Long Distance relationships are definitely risky, and if you are unfortunate enough to be far away from your significant other, the prospect of potentially ruining your relationship can seem daunting. Just because long distance relationships are difficult, doesn't mean they're impossible. Simple adjustments to your attitude and lifestyle can help you keep your loved one in your life. Here are a few tips that can help... Trust me.. I know! Talking from experience

1. Communication, communication!! - I can't stress enough how important communication in a LDR (long distance relationship) well ANY Relationship is, so make sure you keep the lines of communication with your partner open.
If you have a busy schedule, make time in the morning to text or call each other good morning then at the end of your day, speak to each other about your day and say good night, if you can.. Pray together.

2. Work around your schedules - One of yo my May be busier than the other so endure that you make time for your partner. Don't make them feel like they're always last on your to-do list and don't slack by failing to communicate like you usually do because this will start to take a toll on your relationship, so warn your partner if you're gonna be busy and  If you have to, schedule a regular time in your diary to communicate when you're free, make it a date with your partner.

3. Plan visits as often as you can - As much as I hate saying this.. A Relationship can not survive on phone calls, texts and emails alone. You need physical contact with your partner so it won't hurt if you guys plan on seeing each other when you can. This will give you and your partner something to look forward to and strengthen your relationship. When you're together you can do various things such as:

• Go to your favourite restaurant
• Spend quality time indoors catching up on a few things *wink, wink*
• Visit new places
• Introduce each other's friends and family if possible - These are the people that help your partner in your relationship when you aren't around
4. Get to know each other -!
you'll have to spend some time really getting to know and understand your partner. When talking to your partner, take note of things they enjoy the most (hobbies, day-to-day activities, etc.), and do a little research on it so you have more to do when you see them next. Knowing each other's preferences will also help when you want to exchange gifts.
  • For example: If your partner likes to dance, find the location of different clubs where you will see them next. If you don't know how to dance, take lessons and you will impress them by your willingness to make an effort on their behalf

  • 5. Create trust. Just as with traditional relationships, trust is incredibly important. Avoid temptations. Try your best to be faithful, lest you destroy the trust on which your relationship relies. Avoid putting yourself in situations where you would be tempted, and let your partner know that there's nothing to worry about. *Don't be too anxious or jealous if you don't always know what they are doing. A little space is harmless and will definitely keep things to make sure you are both clear on the nature of the relationship
  •  6. Understand what you haveNaming your relationship (dating, seeing each other, boyfriend-girlfriend, engaged) as well as defining exclusivity (limited to one person) can be difficult and awkward questions to ask, but will save you great heartache and misunderstanding down the line. Stating your end goals and expectations will allow you both to work together to build the relationship you want.
  • Example: "Are you open to relocating if the relationship becomes more serious?" or "What are you looking to get out of this relationship?"
  • 7. Talk about your future together- Assuming that ultimately you'd want to live together, discussing how you're going to get to that point will help you prove to each other that the relationship is going somewhere and that your efforts and frustrations are not in vain.
    • Figure out who is moving so that you can be together. Will you both move, or just one? Think ahead to a career for the partner who is moving.
    • Decide on a reasonable target time for the move. What must first be finished before you can start your new lives together? Do either of you need to end a lease, sell a home, quit a job, or give notice to housemates in order to move?
    8.
Talk through doubts, uncertainty, and fear together. Explore the scary and difficult subjects along with the good. Talk is your best way to keep together across the distance. Use it to explore your feelings together honestly.
I have more but can't think right now so hope that helps

WHO aims for Ebola serum in weeks and vaccine tests in Africa by January

The World Health Organisation has announced it hopes to begin testing two experimental Ebola vaccines in west Africa by January and may have a blood serum treatment available for use in Liberia within two weeks.

The UN’s health agency said it aimed to begin testing the two vaccines in the new year on more than 20,000 frontline health care workers and others in west Africa – a bigger rollout than previously envisioned.

Separately, a senior Red Cross official said he was confident the epidemic could be contained within four to six months.

Elhadj As Sy, the secretary general of the International Federation of Red Cross and Red Crescent Societies, told reporters in Beijing on Wednesday that the outbreak could be contained if there was “good isolation, good treatment of the cases which are confirmed, good dignified and safe burials of deceased people.”

Dr Marie Paule Kieny, an assistant director general at the WHO, said the first tens of thousands of Ebolavaccines could be distributed in the first months of the new year. Kieny acknowledged there were many “ifs” remaining and “still a possibility that it [a vaccine] will fail”. But she sketched out a much broader experiment than was imagined only six months ago.

“These are quite large trials,” she said.

This is good news...

Encouraging words

Good morning everyone!! Just thought to share these words a friend shared with me this morning on whatsapp.

Ladies, remember you are beautiful and always remember your worth 😊

Words from Oprah Winfrey– “If a man wants you, nothing can keep him away. If he doesn’t want you, nothing can
make him stay. Stop making excuses for a man and his behavior.
Allow your intuition (or spirit) to save you from heartache.”
# “Stop trying to change yourself for a relationship that’s not meant to be.”
# “Slower is better. Never live your life for a man
before you find what makes you truly happy.”
# “If you feel like he is stringing you along, then he probably is. Don’t stay because you think ‘it will get better.’
You’ll be mad at yourself a year later for staying when things are not better.”
# “Avoid men who’ve got a bunch of children by a bunch of different women. He didn’t marry
them when he got them pregnant, why would he treat you any differently?”
# “Maintain boundaries in how a guy treats you.
If something bothers you, speak up.”
# “You cannot change a man’s behavior. Change comes from within.”
# “He is a man; nothing more, nothing less.”
# “Never let a man define who you are.”
# “Never borrow someone else’s man. If he cheated with you, he’ll cheat on you.”
# “A man will only treat you the way you allow
him to treat you.”
# “All men are NOT dogs.”
# “You should not be the one doing all the bending–compromise is a two-way street.”
# “If a relationship ends because the man was not
treating you as you deserve then heck no, you can’t ‘be friends.’
A friend wouldn’t mistreat a friend. Don’t settle.”
# “The only person you can control in a relationship is you.”
# “Always have your own set of friends separate from  his”
#“Never let a man know everything. He will use it against you later.”
# “Don’t ever make him feel he is more important
than you are, even if he has more education or a better job.” “Do not make him into a quasi-god.”
Send it to every women you know!!  Hi gorgeous, you are pretty.  Pretty as your name.  You know it, clap your hands. This is a toast  2 u,  for the man  who has you, and the losers who lost u.  Lucky  are the dudes who are going 2
